I’M AN INDIVIDUAL WHO’S BEEN AFFECTED BY COVID-19. CAN THIS FUND HELP ME?

We understand many individuals and families have been affected by the outbreak. While the Fund is not able to provide grants to individuals, we are funneling resources to community-based organizations that have a history of supporting local residents and families who are most affected by emerging health, economic, and social impacts. If you are looking for individual resources now, please contact 211 Maine. This service is available by dialing 211 (or 1-866-811-5695), texting your ZIP code to 898-211, or emailing info@211maine.org.

I WANT TO DONATE. CAN I RESTRICT MY FUNDING TO A SPECIFIC ORGANIZATION?

To ensure we move resources as efficiently as possible and respond to the needs of organizations most impacted, we cannot consider restricted donations. The COVID-19 Response Fund was created to provide a coordinated response to our region’s immediate needs.

IS THERE A GEOGRAPHIC AREA OF FOCUS FOR THE FUND?

Yes, the COVID-19 Response Fund for Kennebec Valley will only fund community-based organizations serving the following towns: Augusta, Chelsea, East Vassalboro, Farmingdale, Fayette, Gardiner, Hallowell, Litchfield, Manchester, Monmouth, Pittston, Randolph, Readfield, Sidney, South China, Vienna, Wayne, West Gardiner, Windsor and Winthrop.

WAS THIS FUND FEATURED ON THE MAINE UNITED TELETHON?

Yes! A HUGE thank you to our incredible Maine United telethon sponsors. Because of them, and amazing viewers like you, we were able to raise over $633,000 statewide to help people right here in Maine who are struggling with the effects of COVID-19. THANK YOU.
