Campaign Awards

Every year, UWKV recognizes outstanding campaign partnerships with awards presented during our Campaign Celebration. Recipients of these awards embody selflessness, strong and unique campaign practices and exceed expectations with their annual campaign.

2024 CAMPAIGN AWARD WINNERS

Norm Temple Community
Volunteer Award

This award is presented each year to an individual (or group of individuals) in recognition of exceptional community service. It was first presented in 1994 to Norm Temple, an outstanding community leader and volunteer with the United Way, Boy Scouts and other local organizations. He was one of the founders of UWKV and was vice president of Central Maine Power for many years. This award aims to recognize others who have followed in Norm’s footsteps and demonstrate remarkable volunteerism in our community.

Large Business
Partner of the Year

The Large Business Partner of the Year award is given to the company or organization with 35 or more employees that has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the mission and values of United Way of Kennebec Valley during the campaign. This award may be given to a campaign partner, nonprofit agency or other collaborating organization in the Kennebec Valley.

2025 Award Recipient: Team EJP

Small Business
Partner of the Year

The Small Business Partner of the Year award is given to the company or organization with up to 34 employees that has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the mission and values of United Way of Kennebec Valley during the campaign. This award may be given to a campaign partner, nonprofit agency or other collaborating organization in the Kennebec Valley.

2025 Award Recipient: Maine Technology Group

New Campaign
Partner of the Year

This award is presented to a business or organization that has recently begun hosting an Employee Giving Campaign in the workplace. United Way’s success is a direct result of collaboration with local businesses, and new partnerships are essential to expanding United Way’s impact every year.

2025 Award Recipient: Nicholson, Michaud, and Nadeau

Public Service
Partner of the Year

This award is given to a strong nonprofit, school-based or government partner that has supported the UWKV campaign in new or stronger ways. Nonprofit, school and government support is essential to showing the community that we’re all in this together.

Community Builder

This award recognizes the consistent, thoughtful generosity that builds and strengthens Kennebec Valley communities. The people who have received this award have inspired so many others to be generous as well.

Chairpersons' Recognition

This award is presented to a business or organization that has shown outstanding commitment to UWKV's mission, by taking initiative to grow their campaign with a match and/or efforts to raise employee awareness and giving. This award is chosen at the Chairpersons' discretion.

Impact2032
Partner of the Year

This award recognizes an individual or organization for significant contributions to Impact2032, a community-wide effort led by United Way of Kennebec Valley to advance health, education, and financial stability. The recipient has helped drive progress through commitment, innovation, and collaboration across sectors.
