Courtney Yeager

President & CEO

Courtney is the first female to hold the position of president and CEO at UWKV and brings an extensive background in communications, fundraising, marketing and community involvement to her role. Prior to starting her career at United Way in 2016, Courtney was the public relations and fundraising manager at Crisis & Counseling Centers, a UWKV-funded partner program that treats mental health and substance use disorders. She also worked in communications at the Maine Department of Education, regularly meeting with educators and students statewide to report on cradle-to-career education strategies.

Courtney graduated from Colby College with a bachelor’s degree in English and obtained her master’s degree in policy, planning and nonprofit management at the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School.

Beyond her work life, Courtney remains heavily involved in the community and serves on several nonprofit boards. She enjoys spending free time with her husband, son and friends, traveling the world, reading a good book, or tasting new cuisine.

Katelyn Pushard

Katelyn has over 12 years’ experience working in the social service, nonprofit sector. As part of her role, she leads a 10-year, community-wide, goal-setting process for Kennebec County known as Impact2032, helps facilitate the Community Investment Process, which grants funds to almost 60 different programs across the county, and manages internal volunteer efforts, including Day of Caring events at over 20 schools across central Maine.

She continues to remain heavily involved in the community, participating in Waterville Rotary Club and Kennebec Valley Community College’s Business Advisory Board.

Katelyn enjoys spending time with her three children, husband, family, and friends as well as volunteering as a basketball and field hockey coach for the Augusta Recreation Department and member of the Parent Teacher Committee at Lincoln Elementary School.

Michelle Tibbetts

Director of Marketing

Michelle has been working in the nonprofit sector for more than 14 years — having assumed various roles in fundraising, marketing and event planning from several organizations during that time. Prior to United Way, Michelle worked for the YMCA, ZLAC Rowing Club (the oldest all-women’s rowing club in the world), the National Psoriasis Foundation, the American Cancer Society and spent a couple of years with a small start-up software company. A collegiate rower who is originally from San Diego, Michelle now calls Augusta, Maine home.

When not at the office, Michelle enjoys spending time outside — adventuring, hiking, camping, working on the farm, etc. — with her family and dog.

Tyler LeClair

Tyler grew up in Litchfield and attended Thomas College, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and forensic psychology. Prior to United Way, Tyler was a corrections officer, crisis worker, and assistant store manager at Hannaford. In all these roles, Tyler consistently strives to serve the community that he has called home his whole life.

In addition to his time at UWKV, Tyler is a member of Waterville Rotary, KVConnect, and Elm City BNI. He enjoys spending time in his workshop, fishing, hiking, and riding his motorcycle.

She has previously served on the board of directors for Aroostook Aspirations Initiative, completed a service term with AmeriCorps Colorado Reading Corps program, and done various volunteering at art-based nonprofit organizations.
