Future Plans
2023-2025 Strategic Plan
- More than 26% of households spend more than 30% of their income on housing (rent or mortgage, plus utilities), which means they may struggle to build savings and may not be prepared for financial emergencies.
- 7.5% of adults experience current symptoms of depression.
- 22% of high schoolers have reported four or more Adverse Childhood Experiences.
- Nearly 13% of all residents and 18% of children are food insecure.
But this reality does not have to be our future. We have an opportunity to connect our neighbors to resources and local relationships to address these challenges head-on and meet our community needs across health, education and financial stability. In order to do this, UWKV has authored a three-year strategic plan that defines our role in Kennebec Valley and our responsibility as the steward of donor investments.
Our Operational Plan, which is approved by the Board of Directors annually, works in tandem with the Strategic Plan to ensure UWKV’s leadership, programming and investments are aligned.
GOAL 1
Achieve and model community unity and engagement from corner to corner
GOAL 2
Increase and diversify revenue to raise $2M by 2025
GOAL 3
Ensure the sustainability of Impact2032
Furthermore, UWKV is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism. Thus, these principles are foundational to our Strategic Plan and are integrated throughout its pillars.
