What We Do

Day of Caring

Learning to lend a helping hand.

This spring and fall, United Way will partner with 26 local schools and programs, as well as many area businesses, to sponsor student Days of Caring. This annual event matches student volunteers with work projects at local sites in Kennebec Valley.

The Day of Caring program demonstrates that volunteering truly brings out the best in all of us. Students, local businesses and the United Way all work together to lend a helping hand. We are proud of our students and the community spirit they demonstrate through the program.

Thank you for making the 2026 Day of Caring possible!
