We work with 45 partner programs to make a big difference in the Kennebec County. We believe that we can accomplish greater things together, and United Way has evolved from its roots as
a fundraising organization to a critical community convener. We mobilize local partners, businesses, community leaders, public officials as well as residents to expand opportunities available
in our area to help people succeed. Our priority areas are Education, Health and Financial Stability. In 2020, 18,009 local people received assistance from a United Way
program. This excludes the 24,226 people helped through the COVID-19 Response Fund. Combined, this means two out of every three local people were directly supported by United Way
Our goal is to create long-lasting change in our communities by addressing the underlying causes of the problems and challenges we face in our region. It takes everyone in the community to
step up and LIVE UNITED, creating a brighter future for Kennebec County.
