For United Way supporters who are CONSIDERING retirement or have already retired
Congratulations as you step into a new phase of life! You've always supported United Way through workplace deductions or individual gifts. So why not continue making a difference in your community in retirement?
Always United is your way to stay connected with all things United Way. Let us know that you want to remain in the loop by joining Always United—just fill out the form on this page. Or contact Katelyn Pushard, Community Engagement Manager, at email@example.com.
How can I remain active with United Way?
- Set up a regular contribution. Donations of all sizes are important and appreciated. Schedule a monthly credit card gift, write a check or receive an invoice.
- Make a contribution directly from your IRA. If you're over the age of 70.5, you can take the required minimum distribution from your IRA and make a qualified pre-tax charitable distribution.
- Leave your legacy. It's never too early to plan for the future. You can reduce capital gains tax on appreciated assets or decrease estate taxes to your heirs.
- Stay engaged in your community. Volunteer your time at one of 50+ area nonprofits.
