ALICE in Maine
We all know people who are ALICE: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed — earning more than the Federal Poverty Level, but not enough to afford the basics where they live.

Day of Caring
Since 2000, United Way has collaborated with local schools, youth programs and various businesses to organize annual Day of Caring events — pairing student volunteers with local projects in the Kennebec Valley.
