56th Annual Golf Scramble raises more than $27k

AUGUSTA, ME—United Way of Kennebec Valley (UWKV) is thrilled to announce that it raised $27,621.49 to support community-impact initiatives at its 56th Annual Golf Scramble, presented by Charlie’s Family of Dealerships. This marks a more than 10% increase from last year—making this year’s event the most successful to date. The tournament, held on August 10 at the Augusta Country Club, saw participation from 30 teams and received sponsorship from 29 businesses.

The proceeds from this successful event will contribute to United Way’s annual fundraising campaign, benefiting United Way’s community impact initiatives that last year supported 58 nonprofit and school-based programs and impacted 37,451 people across Kennebec County.
